From maize to grass
Initial situation:
The biogas plant can process a maximum of 4 t/day of grass. Exceeding this limit leads to operational issues, particularly with pumping and mixing, due to increased viscosity.
There are 10 t/d of grass available which can not be used.
Before installation of the ultrasound disintegration system the pistons of the central pumping system had to be changed 3 times a year.
Result:
1. Fed grass can be increased to the target of 10 t/d.
2. The daily feeding costs could be reduced by 25 %.
3. Operation of the biogas plant is now without restrictions.
4. Service life of the central pumping station has tripled.
Our ultrasound disintegration system was installed between the fermenters. A simple housing built by the customer is a proper solution.
